Matthew Mino, MD

Dr. Matthew Mino earned his Bachelor Degree at Rice University and his Medical Degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. He completed General Surgery Residency at the University of Arizona and subsequently graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s Plastic Surgery Residency. He completed his training at The University of Pennsylvania’s Reconstructive Microsurgery Fellowship, which has the highest volume of free flap breast reconstruction in the country.

During General Surgery training, Dr. Mino took a year to complete a research fellowship at the Burn Center of Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC in wound healing and scar formation. He has published peer-reviewed articles in multiple journals and presented on plastic surgery and microsurgery reconstruction at local and national meetings. Dr. Mino is active in several national Plastic Surgery societies. Dr. Mino is proud to be board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and board-eligible by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Mino was born and raised in Houston. He married his wife during his general surgery training, and they have two young sons. He enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and trying out new recipes.
