Theodore Nagel, MD
Dr. Nagel earned his Bachelor Degree in Biology at St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN. He went on to complete his Medical Degree from Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. He trained in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at The Ohio State University. To gain further knowledge in microvascular reconstruction, he stayed on at The Ohio State University to complete a Reconstructive Microsurgery Fellowship. During this fellowship year, he was also a visiting Microsurgical Fellow at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan, where he worked alongside world-renowned microsurgeons.
Prior to joining Breast Reconstruction Associates in 2015, Dr. Nagel was in practice at Basset Medical Center in Cooperstown, NY, advancing their microsurgery program. He joined Breast Reconstruction Associates to focus primarily on breast cancer patients and offer breast reconstruction using perforator flaps.
Dr. Nagel is Board-Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He also belongs to the American Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery, the Texas Society of Plastic Surgeons, and locally, the Tarrant County Medical Society.
On a personal note, outside the hospital, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Lauren, who is an Otolaryngologist in Fort Worth, and their three wonderful children.
